Web design

She was talking about a quiet, relaxing place, about Yoga, wide open spaces and healthy sport in the nature.

I saw something light, refined, but not aggressive, I chose grey texts and grey flat logos over a light grey background.

grey choices

Based on the format of her business cards, I designed a dark grey squared title with massive (weight 800) and thin (weight 200) Raleway characters in pure HTML / CSS:

See the Pen Alexandra Lepoix - title logo by Alexis Riche (@alexisr) on CodePen.

It becames her new official logo

I added a jQuery wobble effect on the footer, simulating flesh in motion – a reminder of the pounds to lose, or of muscles contracting during a workout:

People using compatible brower (Chrome, to date) will enjoy a subtle reflection under the title catchphrase, using non-standard webkit CSS feature:

css
Copy
h1 p {
    -webkit-box-reflect: below 0 linear-gradient(transparent 15%, rgba(0,0,0,.2));
}

Photography

I was also tasked with taking the new photos for the website; I used a Canon EOS 550D with an 18–55 mm lens and smartphone:

A graphic design for the header of the “Online Sessions” section:

Online picture composition

Left: Original photo of the scene.

Center: Applying lens blur in the background, to hide the smudges on the glass and preparing the mask on the phone.

Right: Integrating a screenshot from an online fitness session and a fake Android status bar at the top of the screen. Adding natural reflections to the screen and adjusting the levels.
